ON CAMPUS DESIGN OPPORTUNITY

Like graphic design? Like on-campus fun? of course you do! Then get involved designing for the Student Programming Board. In the words of ID major (and GD minor) Dave Clarkin: Essentially, we run or fund most of the events on campus.  And, as the Chair of Publicity and Fundraising, I am looking for competent and reliable graphic designers who would be interested in designing flyers, promotional items and apparel throughout the next semester.  I am wondering if you know any students who might be interested or if you could spread the word about this opening?  It’s a really fun way to volunteer and be involved on campus!  We have a lot to promote and are always looking for people to help. Interested? Email Dave directly: dclarkin@bridgeport.edu.

Here’s a great chance for you and another graphic design buddy to earn $100 each while finding out more about designing t-shirts on ipads! From the employer: I am looking for 2 students to work at my daughters Bat Mitzvah party, which is on Saturday March 31 from 1-5pm. I would like the students to: Research the best digital painting app for iPad prior to the event, and download the app on each ipad before the kids arrive at the party at 1pm. Sit with the kids for the 4 hour period and help them design something that will look great on a T shirt, save the designs appropriately so we know who’s is who’s and finally help me figure out how to get them printed up. Last day to W: Friday Nov 4

Did you receive a failing midterm grade in a class? First, speak to your professor to see what you can do to make up your grade. If your professor thinks it is unlikely that you can make up the work in order to pass, you should withdraw. Withdrawing is like dropping a class after drop/add period ends, but the course appears on your transcript accompanied by a W. While it is better to pass than to W, it is much MUCH better to W than to F. Promise! If you need to withdraw, see your advisor at once. The last day to withdraw is Friday November 4th.
